Enhanced systems engineering
Switzerland. Custom tailored solutions that can be quickly and efficiently designed for any process is one of the services that K-Tron Process Group is highlighting at K-Show 2010. On display will be
several stations integrated into one complete system. One station features
a 2415 K-Tron Premier vacuum receiver on top of a KT35 twin screw feeder
complete with an ActiFlowTM bulk solids
activator.
Another station features an FB130 loss-in-weight belt feeder with K-Tron Premier P10 vacuum receiver. Other elements of the system include a bag dump station, PD vacuum blower with housing and 2400 Series filter group.
On modern production lines centred around high precision feeding equipment, operators are not just looking to reduce the number of vendors involved, but are ultimately searching for cost effective and easy to maintain solutions, says K-Tron. The company is meeting this challenge by bringing together the most experienced product engineers to form a new Systems Engineering group, with systems engineers that are experienced in a wide range of designs, ranging from small, simple projects to large, complex installations. The aim is to ensure that K-Tron engineers follow each project from proposal stage right through to overseeing design, manufacture, commissioning and start-up, allowing clients to have one contact that is familiar with all aspects of the project. In addition, a full range of auxiliary equipment such as storage tanks, bulk bag unloading stations, dryers, valves and accessories, piping and much more is offered. Short installation times on site are achieved through modular system design which also simplifies transportation. Custom controls and full integration of the package into a plant’s PLC system complete the services offered by the company.
