Simplicity of safe-change system
Camtain is Camfil Farr’s new innovative true safe-change dust collection system, successfully installed in Europe and offering dust collection capabilities that benefit both health and safety requirements and containment of valuable or recyclable products. The system incorporates the standard features of the Tenkay dust collector with the safety of a novel safe change system.
   In the UK, Tenkay dust collectors are mainly used in the surface preparation industry, but high efficiency and easy access to the dirty air plenum make them suitable for other industries. No tools are required to change the filter elements and the change mechanism is an integral part of the unit, lending itself to safe change applications. The door can be opened and the cartridge removed without maintenance staff coming into contact with the filter.
   Even if collected dust is not of a hazardous nature, the unit minimises dust contamination in the immediate area, ensuring best practice housekeeping and retaining any dust for recycling or waste segregation. The safe change bags also keep contamination correctly packaged.
   Site engineers also have an easier and reduced risk filter change. They do not have to enter the collector at any point to change the filters and removal is simply a matter of opening the doors and activating a simple release bar.
